Re-run from a step
Change one step and run it again without paying for — or re-rolling — everything before it.

A flow is a chain — concepts, then images, then an upscale or a video. When only the last part needs another go, running everything again costs money for every earlier step and gives you different concepts and images. Re-run from a step keeps everything before the step exactly as it was and runs that step and everything after it again.
Two ways in
- Run page → Re-run from a step. Pick the step and which items. Use this to re-roll the end of a flow with the same settings — another take on the video, a fresh set of variants.
- Builder (Map view) with a past run open. Edit the step — its prompt, model, settings — select it and press Re-run from this step. The earlier steps come from the run you opened; your edit is what runs.
Before anything starts you see what will run, for how many items, and roughly how much is not spent again.
What it does with earlier steps
- Reused results cost nothing and are marked Reused from run …. Branches stay as they were: an item that went down "Revise" at a Decide card still goes that way.
- If you edited a step before the one you picked, its old result no longer matches its settings, so the re-run starts from that earlier step instead — the dialog tells you.
- Items that never got as far as the step (they failed or were rejected earlier) are left out; use Retry failed for those.
Steps that don't depend on the one you pick (a side branch, an earlier final cut) are reused too, unless you changed them.
Remake one item
On a finished run, Remake… under an item's name makes just that one again — one scene of an ad, one product of a catalogue — and keeps every other item exactly as it was. Change its text first if you like (for an ad scene: its image prompt, animation prompt or line); the remake starts from the first step that uses what you changed, or pick the step yourself. The steps after Results run again with all the items, so you get a new final cut with the remade scene in it. Approval steps on the way wait for you again, and only the remade item is paid for again.
Optional steps
Untick Run this step on a step and it becomes optional: runs skip it, and everything that depends on it, and the card shows Off. Re-running from an optional step switches it on for that re-run, so it is a clean way to keep a costly finishing touch for later. Ad video's Clone her voice works this way: re-run a finished ad from it to get Final cut (her voice), narrated in the on-camera model's own cloned voice.
Re-runs work with everything else: Economy speed, Approve cards (a re-run that reaches one waits again), PDFs, and your spending limits. You can't start from a step inside a Repeat loop or a Run-workflow card — start from the card.
